Spoonful

Kudos to Chris Mendius, the author of SPOONFUL.  I am working through my goal of reading all the other Kirkus Best of 2012.  And I loaded SPOONFUL on my Kindle before a recent army gig.  It is the first book I have read in a while where the characters stayed with me long after the book ended.  Without giving too much away, he made me care about some very unlikeable people and even though you can see the set up to the fall (heroin addiction doesn't end well) it was good reading and not just out of morbid curiosity.  Hope he writes more.
